Welcome back to the Adventures of Sam and Grace! If you haven’t heard about all our other adventures yet, no worries, you can find them here. We’ve been keeping busy touring around Lake County these past few weeks. Our days have been filled with lots of laughs, good eats, and camera rolls filled with hundreds of photos and videos.
This Week’s Adventures Were…
Adventure Zone
With over 10 attractions for all ages, we geared up to spend the afternoon at Adventure Zone. From high-speed go-karts to the adrenaline rush of the zipline, our day was full of fun.
Our Favorite Rides and Attractions
Sam | Adventure Arcade
Being at the arcade was nostalgic and there were so many classic games to choose from. While I wasn’t able to successfully grab a toy in the claw machine, I did have a couple great tosses during our game of Skee-Ball.
Grace | Go-Karts
What can I say, I love the rush of driving a go-kart. The wind in your hair, the sound of the engine, the hills and quick turns - it’s just so fun! I did end up passing Sam in our race (Sorry Sam), but the family ahead was just too speedy.
And the winner is… Grace!

Did someone say gelato? Count us in. When we're craving something sweet, the house-made gelato at Little Mountain Creamery always hits the spot. With more than 20 rotating gelato flavors, plenty of topping options, and freshly baked pastries, narrowing it down to just one treat is the hardest part.

Live music, piping hot pizza, and 50 draft beers—what’s not to love? Our favorite bite of the afternoon was The Spicy Slice a pie topped with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, jalapeno, red onion and a drizzle of hot honey. Birdie Kings is a must stop spot to watch the big game with your friends or to enjoy a meal with family.

Joughin Hardware is a true hidden gem right here in the city of Painesville. Open since 1877, this store has been family owned for 4 generations. There’s so much to explore while inside. Don’t miss out on the upstairs area where the extensive collection of Carhartt workwear is housed. Pick up the supplies for your next DIY project, or just take in the historic ambiance of the creaky wooden floors.

Sam’s Spot of the Week
I got to watch a beautiful sunset over Lake Erie on the pier at Painesville Township Park. This spot is a must visit for anyone looking to experience an unforgettable view of Northeast Ohio. While there, take a quick stroll down the 2,300 feet of multi-use trails.
Grace’s Spot of the Week
The Wicked Tuna Game at Adventure Zone
I had so much fun challenging Sam in this game! Even though Sam was clearly the better fisher in the end, it was a great way to spend a cloudy day. I would absolutely come back… even for a rematch 👀🎣
