Travel and tourism continue to play an important role in Lake County’s economy, supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and bringing new energy to our communities.

As we look ahead, we’re focused on building on that momentum through thoughtful campaigns, strong partnerships, and experiences that encourage visitors to explore more and stay longer.

Join us as we take a closer look at the current state of travel and tourism and what’s ahead for Lake County.

Why It Matters

Tourism impacts more than just visitors. It supports local businesses, drives economic activity, and helps showcase everything that makes Lake County a great place to visit and live.

From lakefront views and outdoor recreation to wineries, events, and local experiences, travel and tourism continue to shape the community in meaningful ways.

What We’re Seeing

  • Continued growth in regional and one-tank travel

  • Strong interest in outdoor and lakefront experiences

  • Visitors seeking authentic, local experiences

  • Increased opportunities to encourage longer stays
