Cask, Corks & Forks Gala -The Premier Red Wine Tasting Event of the Grand River Valley Wine Region
Madison, Ohio (February 2026) — The Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley invite wine lovers to indulge in an unforgettable evening at the Cask, Corks & Forks Gala, taking place Saturday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the elegant Riverbend Hotel in Ashtabula Harbor.
This exclusive celebration brings together five of the region’s most acclaimed wineries—Debonné Vineyards, Ferrante Winery & Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards, and Cask 307 Winery—for a one-night-only tasting experience showcasing the limited release of Cask 1025, a collaborative red wine unlike any other.
Guests will enjoy a curated tasting of Cask 1025 alongside thoughtfully paired culinary offerings designed to highlight the wine’s depth, balance, and complexity. Crafted from regionally grown red grapes and aged in 500-gallon oak casks sourced from different countries, the Cask wines represent the artistry and innovation of the Grand River Valley.
The Cask Project began in 2010, when each winery filled its barrel with its own regional red wine. Additional vintages were added each year, creating a layered, evolving blend. Bottled in 2025, Cask 1025 reflects both the project’s origins (“10”) and its bottling year (“25”). Each year, only 100 gallons are drawn from the barrels, making room for the next harvest—ensuring both rarity and continuity.
“The purpose of this event is to showcase the incredible quality and flavor of dry red wines produced right here in the Grand River Valley,” says Tony Debevc, owner of Debonné Vineyards. “This tasting allows guests to truly experience how different oak barrels influence aroma, texture, and flavor—something you can’t fully appreciate without tasting side by side.”
The cost of the Gala event is $105.00 and each ticket holder will also receive $50 in savings at the participating wineries.
The Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley formed their association as the region experienced rapid growth and national recognition. Today, the Grand River Valley Wine Region stands as one of the fastest-growing wine regions in the United States, with member wineries earning both national and international awards while adhering to rigorous quality standards.
The Cask, Corks & Forks Gala is one of several signature events hosted annually by the Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley, including the beloved Ice Wine Festival held each March.
