It’s Time to Celebrate!

It’s time for a fiesta! HOLA Ohio will be hosting its second annual Cinco de Mayo fiesta in Painesville’s Veteran’s Park on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from noon to 10:00p.m.

The festival celebrates Mexican American culture through musical artists, folkloric dancers, and various activities for families. Enjoy the splendor of traditional Mexican food, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, guacamole, and adult beverages!

"It's wonderful to bring people together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, sharing the food, music and culture of our Mexican American heritage," says Veronica Isabel Dahlberg, Executive Director of HOLA Ohio.  "It's a holiday with roots in Mexico, but commemorated for over 100 years in Mexican American communities here in the United States, celebrating our bicultural identity. We are proud to continue the tradition here in Painesville."

Last year, over 4,000 people attended and Dahlberg anticipates these numbers to rise.

HOLA Ohio is a local 501c3 nonprofit, located in downtown Painesville, and supports the Latino community through outreach, education, and civic engagement.
