Horsepower Weekend at Lake Metroparks Farmpark

Horsepower Weekend is almost here! Join us September 26–27 at Lake Metroparks Farmpark for an action-packed celebration of horsepower in all its forms. Expanded for 2026, this popular fall event now includes favorite HorseFest experiences, bringing together horses, farming traditions, engines and seasonal family fun.
Visitors can enjoy equine activities and presentations throughout both days, including vaulting, jumping and contesting, plus driving demonstrations, breed showcases and opportunities to meet horses ranging from miniature breeds to powerful draft teams. Hands-on experiences include roping, grooming, braiding and horse-themed crafts.
Saturday highlights the evolution of agriculture as draft horses, antique equipment and modern tractors demonstrate how farming has changed over the years. Guests can watch threshing demonstrations, see farm implements in action and even try their hand at plowing behind one of Farmpark's draft horse teams.
On Sunday, horsepower shifts from the field to the roadway with the annual Car & Truck Show from noon to 3 p.m. (weather permitting), featuring vehicles of all makes and models.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore antique tractor and engine displays, meet farm animals up close, enjoy mini wagon rides and browse food vendors. Seasonal favorites will also be in full swing, including Paul Revere's Run corn maze, apple cider slushies, pumpkin painting and more.
