PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Tacos, music and cultural traditions will fill Veterans Park in downtown Painesville on Sept. 13 when HOLA Ohio hosts its annual Taco Fest.

The free festival runs from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Veterans Park, 1 Liberty St., and promises “a fiesta of flavor and culture in the heart of Painesville,” featuring authentic tacos, artisan vendors and craft workshops alongside a full schedule of performances.

Entertainment begins at noon with the HOLA Folkloric Dancers, followed by a series of cultural showcases, live music and family-friendly activities. Highlights include piñata breaks, a Yaqui cultural presentation featuring ancient Deer Dances and songs, and Lucha Libre wrestling.

Local Celtic folk-rock band The Irish Troubadours will perform at 3 p.m., and Painesville’s own Norteño party band, Los Implacables, takes the stage at 6 p.m. Banda group Inkieto will close the festival at 7 p.m.

HOLA Ohio is a nonprofit with a mission of empowering Latino families, workers and immigrants in Northeast Ohio through education and community support. It organizes the event with backing from the Ohio Arts Council.

Admission to Taco Fest is free and open to the public.
