Nature Game Day with Lake Metroparks
Nature Game Day - Al Susinskas
Think fast, move quick and bring your A-game! Nature Game Day returns to Penitentiary Glen Reservation on Saturday, July 18 for an afternoon packed with interactive, family-friendly fun. From high-stakes trivia and wacky obstacle courses to nature-themed challenges and brain busters, this free event offers something for all ages.
“Nature Game Day combines the excitement of classic game shows with the wonder of the natural world,” says Lake Metroparks Interpretive Naturalist Tony Gazso. “Whether you're testing your wildlife knowledge, tackling a challenge as a family or cheering on the competition, it's a great time.”
This year’s featured game is Family Nature Dare, a nature-inspired twist on a classic game show that puts participating families to the test through hands-on challenges, teamwork and plenty of surprises. Visitors can also enjoy a special edition of our popular Trivia Night at the Glen program, see how our animal ambassadors get in on the fun, and take part in a variety of other fast-paced games and activities. Come ready to laugh, learn and maybe even win a cool prize or two!
Miniature train rides will also be available courtesy of the Lake Shore Live Steamers, weather permitting. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to ride, and children must sit on their own (no lap sitting allowed).
Admission is free and no registration is required. For details, visit https://goto.lakemetroparks.com/nature-game-day.
