The Grand River Valley Wine Region Presents the Annual Turkey Trot
Madison, Ohio (October 2025) – The Winegrowers of the Grand River Valley invite you to celebrate the flavors of the season during the annual Turkey Trot Wine & Food Trail, a beloved fall tradition in Ohio Wine Country. From November 1st through November 26th, guests can enjoy a self-guided tour of five award-winning wineries—Debonné Vineyards, Ferrante Winery & Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards, and Cask 307 Winery—each offering thoughtfully paired wine and appetizer combinations inspired by a classic Thanksgiving feast. Tastings are available daily from Noon to 5 p.m.
“This has always been one of my favorite trails because it marks the start of the holiday season,” says Cindy Lindberg, President of Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant. “This year, we’ve extended the event so guests can visit during the week when the wineries are a bit quieter—making for a more relaxed and personal tasting experience.”
Each winery will feature a different course of the Thanksgiving meal, paired with two wines that perfectly complement it. Tickets are $9 per person at each winery, or guests can take advantage of the discounted pre-sale pass for $37 per person—a savings of $10—which includes access to all five wineries. Pre-sale pricing is available through November 1st, 2025. In the spirit of giving, a portion of proceeds will benefit local food banks just in time for the holidays.
“Thanksgiving is all about gathering around the table,” adds Kim Laurello, owner of Laurello Vineyards. “We hope guests will take this opportunity to discover how beautifully Ohio wines pair with traditional holiday dishes.”
All five participating wineries are located within ten minutes of each other, creating an easy and enjoyable route through the scenic Grand River Valley. Visitors can also explore the region’s charming shops, picturesque covered bridges, and newly opened hotels—perfect for turning the trail into a weekend getaway.
