The first Lake County Metropark location I ever went to holds a special spot in my heart.
A few years ago, I found myself at the bluffs on an absolutely perfect sunny spring day. The entire park was coming back to life, the trees blooming with delicate pink and white flowers. Bunnies and deer were frolicking around, and it truly felt like I had the entire place to myself. Mother Nature was showing off for me.
