Charles Anderson Wickliffe (1788–1869)
Charles Anderson Wickliffe (1788–1869) was a Kentucky statesman who served as U.S. Postmaster General under Presidents Andrew Jackson and John Tyler and later as Governor of Kentucky, playing a key role in expanding and administering America’s postal system during a period of rapid national growth.
