CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Concord Township has initiated a new long-range planning process titled “Our Concord; Today & Tomorrow” designed to direct the community’s growth in infrastructure, housing, transportation and environmental sustainability over the coming years.

The plan, announced in late August, kicks off with a Community Open House scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Fire Station 1 as part of the township’s efforts to actively engage residents in shaping the strategy’s direction.

This initiative builds on a tradition of comprehensive planning in the township, with the most recent version adopted in 2015 and an addendum approved in 2023 reflecting revisions completed in 2022. Officials say this new effort offers an opportunity to revisit Concord’s needs and opportunities in the face of change.

Township leaders emphasized that the process will explore recommendations aimed at advancing sustainable infrastructure, accommodating diverse housing needs and protecting the environment while managing development. They underscored that meaningful community involvement is critical to ensuring that the final plan reflects residents’ values and priorities.

A dedicated website has been launched on the township’s website to serve as a hub for project updates, detailed information and guidance on how residents can get involved.
