Great Lakes Mall plans fall events and activities

Great Lakes Mall has unveiled several autumn events and activities for the community.
“Great Lakes Mall is more than a place to shop, it’s a place where our community comes together to celebrate the season, discover local businesses and enjoy memorable experiences with family and friends,” General Manger Eric Roxbury stated in a news release. “Whether guests are joining us for a longtime favorite like Candy Crawl or exploring one of our specialty events, we’re excited to offer something for everyone this fall.”
The next JCPenney Kids Zone event will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 10. JCPenney Kids Zone events take place the second Saturday of each month inside the store, and kids get a free craft, ID badge, lanyard and a collector’s pin each month, the release stated.
Sunburst Beauty Pageants will host the Halloween Spooktacular Baby Contest and Pageant on Oct. 18, beginning at 1 p.m.
The pageant is a family-friendly experience where girls of all ages can dress up, take the stage, show their personality and enjoy the spotlight, the release stated. No experience is necessary, and every contestant will receive a crown and trophy.

Candy Crawl will begin at 4 p.m. Oct. 18, where kids can sport their best costumes and parade from store to store to collect goodies from participating retailers. DJ Jesse Webb will be providing entertainment. Treats are available while supplies last, the release stated.
The Mentor mall will host a Sports Cards and Collectibles Show Oct. 23-25 that will feature over 50 vendors showcasing collectible sports cards, supplies, bobbles and more. Show hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 23-24 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 25. Vendors interested in participating should contact Justin at 440-773-1605.
Oliver’s Marketplace will take place in the Dillard’s concourse near Oliver’s Emporium from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers a variety of dates throughout the season. Guests can shop for festive and seasonal, local and handmade items every weekend beginning Nov. 14 through Jan. 3.
