Lake Cycle is providing stationary bike riders a new, indoor venue to pedal to the beat in Concord Township.
The cycling studio opened in August, sharing a building at 7645 Crile Road with the Lake Yoga studio that has operated there for several years. Both studios offer a range of classes.
The company website describes Lake Cycle as “a music-driven indoor cycling experience.” It is open seven days a week.
The studio includes a couple rows of bicycles. A company representative said that Lake Cycle holds “dark rides,” when most of the lights are turned out during a session. Lake Cycle says that its “The Ride” class serves beginner, moderate and advanced riders. The studio also offers themed rides and less challenging community, basics and workshop rides.
On the other side of the building, yogis can practice their craft in a variety of class and temperature settings.
“Over the last four years, we’ve been able to over time bring in different styles and offer different classes, different ways to begin your yoga journey,” said Lake Cycle and Lake Yoga studio manager Jackie Gibson. “So, now we have a range from restorative yoga to gentle and slow flow, power, deep stretch, inside flow.”
Lake Yoga’s website lists classes for a variety of levels. The studio’s classes are available in environments ranging from 70 degrees Fahrenheit to 96 degrees or higher.
The website also lists a variety of free amenities, including towel rental, yoga props, bathroom toiletries and water refill.
“I would love for people to know that they don’t have to already be a yogi,” Gibson said. “They don’t have to be flexible. They don’t have to be an athlete. They don’t have to be any of those things.”
The studios also offer boutique items and LMNT zero-sugar hydration mixes. Lake Yoga offers a one-month new student pass for $45, and it includes unlimited access at up to two classes a day. The studio’s drop-in rate is $23 a class.
Lake Cycle offers new students an unlimited one-week $30 pass with up to two classes a day. The studio’s drop-in rate is $25 a class.
The businesses also offer private events. Lake Yoga’s website states that private events and parties can be offered on- or off-site for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate gatherings and other occasions. Lake Cycle’s website said that guests can buy out a scheduled class, schedule a private ride or get a group for a public class.
Lake Yoga and Lake Cycle offer additional pass and contract options. More information about those options and each business can be found at lakeyogaconcord.com and lakecycleconcord.com. Road maps on each website also list each class and their difficulty levels.
Each business also has a Facebook page and an Instagram page.
