Cleveland Restaurant Management Group, the restaurant collective behind nearly two dozen Northeast Ohio eateries, has announced yet another new concept. This one, called Mason Social, will take shape in the former Melt Bar and Grilled space (7289 Mentor Ave.) in Mentor.

Partners Brad Friedlander and Michael DuBois describe Mason Social as a modern sports bar serving scratch-made pub fare.

“I like to think of the vibe of Mason’s as sports bar meets honky-tonk,” DuBois explains. “We have plenty of original items on the menu that people are going to love. We’ve wanted to do a sports bar for years, so we’re thrilled to have the chance to finally open one.”

When completed, the bar will seat 115 guests indoors and another 30 on the patio. There will be plenty of TVs, a menu of upscale bar food, and cocktails served in mason jars.

Mason Social is scheduled to open in December.
